The twenty-one taras is a sublime chanting meditation and praise of the forms of the female Bodhisattva Tara, each one a contemplation of all the forms of compassion ranging from gentle to fierce. This event explores the outer, inner and secret meaning of the twenty-one taras. This will be a joyous fundraiser in honor of our beloved Pema Khandro Rinpoche’s birthday. On behalf of Pema Khandro and Ngakpa International, I want to express a HUGE thank you to all of you who have generously donated.

You are making it possible for the Buddhist teachings to flourish in the 21st century and beyond.

One of the three projects founded by Pema Khandro is the Dakini Mountain Retreat Center in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Northern California. Dakini Mountain is the physical center of Pema Khandro’s teachings.

Since the beginning of Buddhism, centers like this have been critical to keeping Buddhism alive and vital. Many of you who have been to a Buddhist holy place know that such places can change your life, open your eyes to your potential and instill the momentum to bring your potential to reality.

About 35% of the 2021 goal of $50,000 to cover critical maintenance, property tax and insurance costs for Dakini Mountain has been met. $30,000 more is needed. Any donation you can make, large or small, will make a difference.
